Our poor little Fiesta, Joepie, didn't pass his safety check last week, with too many rust holes, bad breaks, and in need of a whole new exhaust. Therefore, Rene and I made the decision not to spend the 1,000-1,300 euros to fix him, and instead buy a new car. After looking around at the choices at the low end of the price range, we've decided on the Fiat Panda. It's road-tax free (because it's so green), more spacious than the other options, and under 7,000 euros! But we had to order him and he won't come until late January or early February.
Onze arme kleine Fiesta, Joepie was voor zijn APK gezakt, met te veel roest gaten, slechte remmen, en een lekkende uitlaat. Daardoor besloten Rene en ik om niet de 1,000-1,300 euro te betalen om hem weer goed te maken, maar in plaats daarvan een nieuwe auto te kopen. Nadat we hadden rondgekeken naar al de auto's aan het minder dure segment, besloten wij de Fiat Panda te kopen. Hij is wegenbelasting-vrij (omdat hij zo zuinig is), heeft meer ruimte dan de andere opties, en onder 7,000 euro! Maar we moesten hem bestellen, en hij komt niet tot eind januari of begin februari.
