I decided to make sweet and sour meatballs for potluck dinner. It's a recipe I've used plenty of times from allrecipes.com, but I usually cut way back on the hot sauce because I normally make them for the kids at church. However, since this time I was making it for adults, I figured I'd make the recipe just as it is. With 350 ml Tobasco sauce? I didn't think it was right, but in a moment of foolishness, I dumped the entire bulk-sized Tobasco sauce bottle (from a place kind of like BJ's or Costco's) into my slow cooker. All 350 ml. When I came back home later that day, the air was almost toxic with spiciness. Turns out, Tobasco sauce is NOT the same thing as chili sauce, like the recipe calls for.
Needless to say, they were inedible so I made a dessert instead. Kind of reminiscent of my garlic extravaganza a few years ago . . .
