The phenomenon of Rene having a birthday precluded me from being able to do anything but study and get everything ready for this past weekend so I'm just now getting a chance to report on how our weekend at Rene's parents' house went!
We had a lovely weekend in Boxmeer! It was really nice to see Rene's parents and brother again! All of Rene's aunts and uncles came over for a party Saturday evening, and I know you all are wondering how my Dutch went . . . well, it wasn't a total success, but I got some good sentences out! I definitely understood more of what was going on than before, but I still have the problem of being able to understand many of the words someone is saying but not get the meaning of what the words together mean! But there has been progress so that's encouraging!
I got back home pretty tired from the weekend, though, which made the week pretty difficult since I had so much to do to prepare for Rene's big B-Day weekend. But details about that will come in the following post!
